Do Michell

Do’s sculptures in fine porcelain or in stone, derive inspiration from the Purbeck area where she lives. The rhythm of the landscape, the force of the sea, and the ancient patterning from past civilisations feed into her work. She likes to hint at ideas and interpretations which are then completed by the viewer.

Do has exhibited at numerous galleries in Sussex and Dorset. Her work has been selected for a national exhibition of Tactile Art and she has also had work accepted by the Mall Gallery in London.

Initially training as a physiotherapist she took advantage when the children left home and did a BA Hons at Brighton Art School.
