Loraine Sherlock Loraine works mainly from sketches, using a variety of media including watercolour, oils, and mixed media to depict the Dorset countryside and its flora and fauna. She exhibits locally and has also had work accepted for the Southampton City Art Gallery Open exhibition and Salisbury Arts Centre exhibitions. She has worked on many private commissions including the production of an illustrated Millennium Map Board for West Parley Parish Council, and creating artwork for local private companies on behalf of Gazelle Design. For six years Loraine worked as an Art Tutor throughout the county for the Dorset Adult Education Service, tutoring pupils in the skills of watercolour painting. She has also taught at the Kingcombe Centre in West Dorset. |

Over a period of five years she served on the Committee of Bournemouth Arts Club taking on the role of Secretary. Loraine is interested in the history of art and holds a First Class Honours degree in Humanities with Art History. She also holds a Level 2 City and Guilds Certificate in Machine Stitched Textiles. |
