Joan Scott

Joan is influenced by her surroundings and loves to spend time drawing - sometimes the results are used as a basis for painting.  Whatever the subject, her work is about surface and texture – colour is also very important. She lets the painting lead the way and its creation becomes a journey of discovery until the final image emerges.

Joan studied Fine Arts at the Arts Institute, Bournemouth (now AUCB); she was the winner of the CADarts Open Exhibition in July 2007, and has had paintings selected for Exhibitions at the Mall Galleries, London (Discerning Eye 2003 and Society of Women Artists 2009 and 2010).  Her work is in private collections around the world.
