Joan Lilley

Originally trained at Bristol and Lancaster Universities where she obtained a Diploma of Advanced Studies in Education followed by a Master’s Degree, she later obtained HNDs in both Fine Art and Illustration at the Arts Institute, Bournemouth. She now works as an artist and illustrator and, after many years of teaching in schools, she now also teaches art to adults.

She is a Professional Associate of the Society for All Artists, exhibiting widely in the UK and currently has work in the Channel Islands, the USA and Australia. Her illustration work has also been reproduced for widespread use in Scandinavia and France.

Whilst her illustration work consists mainly of Florals, which she loves, in her fine art work Joan is also developing her passion and respect for the Sea, particularly its moods and movement.
